Geoff George Cinematographer
Geoff George is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles. Born in Detroit, Michigan and a graduate of the University of Michigan, and heavily influenced by his Rust Belt roots, Geoff has created compelling images for music videos, feature films, commercials, and documentaries. After working in camera department on feature films under the guidance of DP’s such as Benoit Debie, Larry Fong, and James Laxton, Geoff began bringing his own style to clients such as Vice, Timberland, Under Armor, and Chevy, musicians like Royce da 5’9 and Eminem, Atlantic Records strongholds like Danny Brown and ICP, and European acts Carpenter Brut, Opeth, and Dividuals. Geoff’s narrative credits include numerous shorts and two features (The Pickle Recipe and Ovid: The Art of Love). With a keen eye for capturing urban environments, he worked as 2nd Unit DP on It Follows, Orion, and Cash Only. In 2017 he was awarded Best Cinematography for the film Break My Bones at the Rhode Island Film Festival. In 2019 Geoff was a recipient of the Emerging Cinematographer Award from the International Cinematographer’s Guild Local 600.
